I’m a single mom and engaged to a wonderful godly man. There are a couple reasons why I blog. First of all, I love writing down what I learn through my quiet times with God. I find I’m able to sort through things going on better and it helps me to communicate better. Secondly, I love to encourage others. I write from the heart. Some things are raw and difficult but it helps me put a name to my emotions and experience just how gracious God is despite the circumstances life has dealt me.
I am unable to work because of my health. I am striving to honor God with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength. I struggle with bulimia, binge eating (at times), fibromyalgia, cervical spinal stenosis, dysautonomia, atrial fibrillation, labyrinthitis, depression, and PTSD. Needless to say, I rely on God FULLY. He is my source of strength and my protector. I don’t feel sorry for myself because having these issues have given me empathy and compassion towards others. I do not consider them my weakness. On the contrary, I believe what the Bible says about in my weakness I am strong. I know who my strength comes from.
I enjoy beading, crochet, reading, playing Wii with my son, writing, blogging, journaling, nature, and singing. Actually, I enjoy a plethora of things. Music has always been my first love. I have been singing since I was 2 years old and went to college for music. Unfortunately, upon being sick, I haven’t been able to sing as much anymore. Still, when one door closes, another one opens.
As you can see from my photo, I also LOVE animals. That’s me with my dog Tess (in case there’s any confusion, the dog is on the right…lol) Tess lives with my parents right now and I miss her dreadfully. I also have 3 cats and fish. Eventually, I’d like to get a guinea pig again. I used to breed them and I just adore them. They are great family pets.
I hope you all have a blessed day and thank you for stopping by to read my blog.
